Waiver and Indemnity

By registering as a member of this website, you acknowledge and agree to waive any and all rights to, or claims for damages, costs, expenses, personal injury (including death), or any other compensation of any kind whatsoever against Lift Club SA or its staff or partners and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lift Club SA for the same. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your insurance company is informed that your car will be part of a lift club and that you are adequately covered in that regard.

Lift Club SA is a website that provides a free service, aimed at assisting commuters to find suitable persons to share lifts to their places of learning, of work or any other destination. Any agreement made between yourself and fellow lift club members regarding cost-sharing, is a private matter between yourselves and will have no bearing on Lift Club SA. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the lift club matching service, your sole remedy will be to discontinue your use of this website. Lift Club SA reserves all rights to this website and will exercise this in its sole discretion, as and when required. This Website is hosted in and operated from Cape Town, and governed by South African law.

Safety

It is your sole responsibility to ensure your own personal safety. Lift Club SA does not accept responsibility for your safety.  Users must take all necessary precautions in screening any new persons that they meet via this website and at their sole discretion select who they wish to connect with. Do not disclose any personal information which could possibly compromise your personal safety, for example, your specific home or work address or personal telephone numbers. Ensure that you record the driver’s details, the car registration number and contact details.

Privacy

All reasonable measures will be taken to protect the personal information of users.

Lift Club SA welcomes any FEEDBACK on your experience so that we can rate drivers in respect of safety, efficiency and politeness.

Age Restriction

This website is NOT for the use of any persons under the age of 18yrs. Any Lifts accepted or created for or by children have to be consented to and supervised by their parents or guardians. Lift Club SA does NOT assume any responsibility or liability for any actions in this regard.
